Refugee Spectrum Empowerment Community (RESECO) is an LGBTQI refugee led community based organisation that was founded in April 2020. The outbreak of COVID 19 in 2020 presented a wide range of challenges to Refugees and Asylum-seekers in Eastleigh and other areas at large.Lack of accommodation due to eviction from their houses as they couldn’t pay rent , this further exposed their sexual identification and Orientation  to the host community leading to more discrimination, homelessness and starvation.  The Organisation started as an emergency shelter for LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum-seekers, a safe haven to feel safe and get a meal.
