About us
Who We are
Refugee Spectrum Empowerment Community (RESECO) is an LGBTQI refugee-led community-based organization that was founded in April 2020.
The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 presented a wide range of challenges to Refugees and Asylum-seekers in Eastleigh and other areas at large.Lack of accommodation due to eviction from their houses as they couldn’t pay rent further exposed their sexual identification and Orientation to the host community, leading to more discrimination, homelessness, and starvation.
The Organisation started as an emergency shelter for LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum-seekers, a safe haven to feel safe and get a meal.
